Dance First Olympics

During one of our Monday morning ballet classes, there was a lot of excitement in the studio when one of our dancers came in with her Olympic medals. Our fabulous ballet dancer, Vicky, represented New Zealand in Equestrian eventing and won a Silver medal in the 1992 Barcelona games and a Bronze in the 1996 Atlanta games.

Not only did she share her wonderful stories with us, she shared her medals for us to try on!! Vicky proudly put a medal around one of our younger dancers saying this is for the next generation. How blessed we are to be surrounded by such wonderful people helping shape our community!

We also held Total Barre Olympic classes during this time.  

For our Thursday class, standing on the podium, first place was none other than our very own powerhouse pocket rocket, Jan.

And on Saturday, it was gloomy outside, but the competition inside the studio heated up and the medals were flowing.
